Grand Rapids isn’t just where I live, it’s where I've grown up, built my career, and consistently shown up for the people who shape the city.
As a former City of Grand Rapids employee and former Grand Rapids Public Schools Board member, I understand how local government operates, how decisions get made, and how to advocate effectively for the people of Ward 1.
My approach to leadership is rooted in accessibility, accountability, and action, and I believe residents deserve a commissioner who already understands the systems they are navigating and is prepared to deliver results from day one.

My priorities are centered on what residents have consistently asked for: clear communication from City Hall, real pathways to economic opportunity, and leadership that actively advocates for the needs of the 1st Ward.
Transparency
Residents deserve leadership that communicates openly and consistently. That means clear decision-making, accessible updates, and accountability you do not have to search for.
Economic Development
Growth should create opportunity for the people who already live here. I am focused on strengthening local business ecosystems, attracting sustainable investment, and expanding pathways to stable, well-paying jobs.
Advocacy
The 1st Ward deserves a commissioner who shows up, listens, and acts. Advocacy means making sure resident voices are not just heard, but reflected in decisions that shape the community.
